"Give yourself the Gift of Learning: Creating and presenting training for the iPad is truly a passion of mine. I am looking to raise awareness for the need for these devices in preschool education while at the same time providing parents with a wealth of tips, tricks, and resources for the iPad (that are normally only available in the education realm) that they can utilize with their own children and in their daily life.
To this end, I am working with First Protestant to offer a Preschool Appy Hour Class to parents who own an iPad on Thursday July 28th from 6:30-8pm. The cost for the class is $25. 100% of the proceeds will be donated back to the school to purchase iPads for enrolled preschoolers.
Participants will learn many of the iPad’s advanced features (e.g. setting restrictions, Voice Over, features of iBooks, keyboard shortcuts, locking orientation, spotlight search, and much more) as well as where to find the best apps, deals on apps, & how to evaluate apps. We will also be exploring apps for preschoolers (education-based: consumption & production) as well as a few apps geared towards adults.
